I had already installed prior versions on other desktops before, so I knew in advance it could be quirky if not done correctly.

I installed the JCL library first as in the instructions but then when i install the JVCL, the installation itself goes fine, it's when i attempt to run Delphi 7 after that i start getting the issues.įirst i get Access Violation in module 'dclstd70.bpl' I am attempting to install the JVCL library on a Laptop that i just installed Delphi 7 on. All I can do is to kill the process and exit from Delphi. I couldn't click any menu such as File>Open to get a input file. So I clicked OK to dismiss the dialogue, but no matter I continue to Step Over or switch to SWMM 5 window, SWMM 5 executable is not responding. The message is "Porject Epaswmm5.exe raised exception class EConvertorerror with message "is not a valid date". However at the same time an Debugger Exception Notification was thrown out. The first and very critical to me, without changing anything, when I Step Over the code, right after Application.Run, SWMM 5 executable was started as expected, which was good. However when I start to mess up with the code, I run into some issues.
I followed instruction and compiled on Delphi 7 successfully. First of all, thanks to the development team for the detailed instruction on installation and compilation of source code.
